Realistic physics: The game uses physics close to real curling: ice friction, curl, and sweeping effects.
You set speed (slider) and spin (left/right). A slow shot travels about 22โ26 m, a fast one up to 45 m. Spin makes the stone curl as it slows down.
The stone slows down due to ice friction. When it is very slow (< 0.6 m/s), friction increases so it stops in a realistic distance (e.g. 22โ26 m for a draw).
Sweeping reduces friction (stone goes further) and uses up curl (spin potential). You can sweep left, straight, or right. Only the thrown stone can be swept, and only until the first collision.
Sweeping the side that doesn't match the curl gives a steering nudge in the wrong direction, so the path gets worse. To reduce right curl you should sweep on the right (nudge corrects the path); sweeping left adds a left nudge and doesn't fix the right curl.
If the stone is curling right and you sweep straight: friction is reduced (more distance) and spin potential is consumed evenly, but no left/right steering is applied. The stone keeps curving right with the remaining spin until it's used upโso straight sweep helps length, not direction.
The stone curves sideways as it slows (spin potential). Sweeping on the correct side reduces this curl. The stone does not gain extra curl from sweeping.
When stones hit, momentum is shared (similar mass). A headโon hit stops the thrown stone and moves the other. Stones that leave the sheet are disqualified.
Speed and spin set the path; sweeping lets you extend distance and reduce curl. Physics and field size are close to real curling so the game feels realistic.
Curling is a team sport played on ice by sliding stones toward a target (the house). Stones closer to the centre than the opponent's score points.
On your turn, the throw area at the bottom has a speed slider and left/right spin buttons. Choose speed and curl direction, then release. After the throw you can sweep to influence the stone's path.
While the stone is moving, the sweep control (circular or direction buttons) appears on screen. Only your thrown stone can be swept, and only until the first collision. Sweep left, right, or straight to affect both distance and curl.
At the end of each end, each of your stones closer to the centre than any opponent stone scores 1 point. You can hit opponent stones out or draw your own closer. The team with the closest stone wins the end and is the only one that scores.
Set speed and spin to throw; use sweeping to adjust distance and curl. Hit opponent stones or draw yours closerโwhoever has the closest stones in the house scores.
